My DD-3 pedal is broken and I'm trying to find a decent setting for delay on my RV-3 pedal instead. Just can't seem to find anything I like. I run it in mono into my Nashville 400. Anybody out there using an RV-3 into a 400 who can tell me what settings they've found that they like? I presume you're only using the delay part of the pedal and using the amp's reverb, so please also tell me what amp settings you're using with the RV-3 in place. Thanks! jc

Jim, I have used an RV-3 with a Nashville 400. I like the reverb/delay setting on #4. All the rest of the knobs at around 9 o'clock. The amp settings are bass 3 o'clock, mid 7 to 9 o'clock, shift welded at 12 noon, high an pres around 12 noon. I dont use the amp reverb. This may or may not work for you, depending on what tone you like and if you like alot of delay/reverb. I play Sho-Bud and Fender steels with the stock pickups that both companies used. I also dont use alot of effect either. Duane Becker

Your lucky day, I use it with my Evans setup. I use setting #4, First button on left set at 8 O'clock, next at about 9 O'clock and next at between 9 and 11 O'clock. Don't laugh, I'm still at work and I'm doing this from memory. Those settings sound great through my system and "more better gooder" with that P/P playing through it. I can't believe I said that! BTW, my system is stereo if that makes any difference.

Someone write this in the minutes: We have a consensus on something! I also tend to use the #4 setting the most, all the other adjustment knobs around 9 O'Clock to start with, and adjust for the room. Any more time on the delay and it gets too noticeable for my ears. I don't use the onboard reverb on the 400, it's been troublesome .... and the effects loop on mine doesn't seem to like stomp boxes. I run it after the pedal. I like it! Beats programming Algorythms, whatever they are. -John [This message was edited by John Steele on 11-09-99]

Well, wonder of wonders. I tried y'all's setting and... it works nice! Now how come I couldn't find that all by myself? Ah, well, like they say, "It takes a village to make a good steel player." Thanks, dudes! jc
