You all were right, Corky Owens is back playing with Gene Watson. We opened for him last night and the concert was great. Steel guitar is alive and well in the Gene Watson Camp. There was more steel than lead and piano put together and Corky performed flawlessly. The sound man had the mix right and he kept the steel on top.

Kudos to Corky. Keep up the good work and it was great to talk with you after the show. My wife asked me if it hurt the other musicians feelings when after the show 4 local steelers in the audience went to talk to Corky and nobody talked to the other musicians? I told her, "no it doesn't bother them, besides somebodys got to pack the stuff up" just a joke folks.

Chuck

PS I took some pix. If they turn out I will post them.. By the by, Corky was playing a beautiful Franklin Steel.

Over the years, Gene Watson has never compromised his honesty and integrety towards his music. He has remained true to his country roots. Nice to here Corky is back out there and working with Gene. Jody.

He's playing in my area this weekend. Can't wait to see him. I'm hoping to get a chance to talk to Gene after the show as well as talking to Corky. I'll have my digital camera with me, so I should have some good pictures afterward.

I got on to him for not getting on the forum. He said he's thinking about it.

Ron he was at WWW.genewatson.com

Wayne He said he always plays several of his hits at all his concerts. He did love in the hot afternoon.

Haven't seen better, ever.
