I read (it might have been here, or at alt.guitar.lap-pedal)about someone playing a pedal steel with the standard pedals, but dropped down to A9. Does anyone have a suggested string gauges that wouldn't unbalance the changer?
I was thinking that
B17
G#22
C#15
A22
E30
C#34
B38A42
G46
E54
should get the job done, but I wanted to ask if anyone had had any experience.

I tried to search the archives, but didn't see anything useful
