Extra nice Zum 8&8.Excellent condition Late type changers and bellcranks(same as the 03's).It's a late 98 or 99 year model.Mica finish.Single coil pickups.Emmons set-up with Paul Franklin's RKR and 4th pedal.See this link for Pauls set-up. http://b0b.com/tunings/franklin.htm $3000.oo + freight.Sorry I can't take Pay Pal.Payment US Postal Money Orders Price reduced to $2900.oo + Freight I have pics, they don't do the guitar justice. But they should give you some idea of just how nice this guitar really is.Also they are large.I don't know how to compress them or whatever you do to pics to make the files smaller. But if you're really interested in a great Zum? Please E-mail me. [This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 12 March 2004 at 07:27 AM.] |

I recently bought a Fessenden D-10 from Bobby and was very impressed with every aspect of the deal. In all honesty, the steel looked and sounded beautiful and he delivered the product very quickly with no dents, or dings. I have had some bad experiences buying things over the internet, including a pedal steel, and being very disappointed with the results. I would buy from Bobby Boggs again, that is if I have any money left after my ex-wife gets through with me every month. He is an honest businessman in my book. If my experience is any measure, this Zum should turn out to be even better than Bobby describes it. Duncan Hodge |

Folks this is not the true color of this guitar.I used this picture only to give you an idea of how nice it really is. The 2nd picture shows the true color. At least in my browesr [This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 04 March 2004 at 09:17 PM.] |

Duncan,Thanks for the positive feedback. You have a great guitar.Good to know you're happy with it. Several have wrote that they would take this guitar if it is in mint condition. To me, mint condition is just like brand new.Well, if you look really close you can tell it's not brand new.You will find a few tiny scratches on the pedal board. But you have to look for them.I can find no scratches on the mica. Some would call this guitar mint.I call it extra nice. Thanks ....bb [This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 25 January 2004 at 06:56 AM.] |

I can now E-mail pics that are close to the true color. At least in my browser. And yes, this guitar has a case and leg bag and they are very nice. Also, I need to mention that this guitar is a little more lively,(better sustain) above the 12 fret than the earlier model Zums I've played.A great sounding and great playing guitar. Ricky Davis was kind enough to host another picture for me.This is close to the actual color. The guitar looks better than this. But this is about as good as I can do with a cheap camera.I wish I had polished it before taking the picture.I just wiped the dust off.I don't think it's ever been polished. It's just that nice...bb

Darn Bobby There's enough hardware hangin under that guitar to keep a man busy the rest of his life. I'd surely like to ,but the love of my live,Beautiful bride of 28 years, the object of my "afliction"(He Haw)got this real distant look in her eyes when I showed this guitar to her.As she walked away I think she mumbled somethin about a frying pan and "When he goes to sleep. And a Bump up [This message was edited by Daniel J. Cormier on 27 January 2004 at 06:06 PM.] [This message was edited by Daniel J. Cormier on 27 January 2004 at 06:07 PM.] |

Thanks guys she's a babe and plays like a dream. Several have mentioned that the guitar has too many knees. One of the many great things about the ZumSteel is that all the knees are adjustable. This includes the verticals. They will adjust as high or low as you need them.I set mine very low, almost brushing the top of my knee. But they will fold backwards and be totally out of sight and mind if you feel you're not ready for them. The same is true for any of the knees. If they bug you just fold them and tighten down on the screw and you'll never know they're there. Now for the gentleman from Sevierville Ten. I apparently copied down the wrong phone # for you.If you will please contact me and leave your name and number and a time to reach you.I'll get back to you.Regards............bb |

I still love the steel that I bought from Bobby. If he says it is what it is, then it is what he says...cause in my case, it was what he said it was, and then even a little bit more. Duncan |

Several have asked how and what this guitar sounds like.It sounds great. But not really in an Emmons kind of way.It sounds like my Franklin. In fact I EQ them both the same in my processor.I hope I don't get in trouble for this. But, it plays like a Franklin too. Which is wonderful.E-mail me at doubleb@innova.net Thanks...........bb |

Bobby, I don't know how you could get into trouble comparing 2 great pedal steel guitars !!...I'm sure that niether Bruce nor Paul would have a problem with this comparison .. They're both top of the line pedal steels, and that turquois is really a knock out !!...Jim |

Bobby, I've got a mid 90's ZUM that is 8+5 and is Darker Bluish-Green like a Chevy Truck Color. I would like to have an 8+8 as that is what I have on my Emmons & my Carter. I would be willing to pay you a small difference on a trade. You know the kind of sound that I like. This has it and more. It is just like new. Email me back if that would interest you. We live close enoufg to check them both out. Thanks, L.M. |
