Hi Gang, I have a beautiful blue/natural lacquer D-10, 8/8 with polished pedals/knees. This guitar was played on the TV show Music City Tonight for only a few weeks, then bought by me, and has sat in the case for 8 or so years. It is literally new except for Tommy's few weeks of Mojo The guitar is equipped with 10-1 pickups, wooden necks and sounds like a Sho-bud on steroids! What I really want is a D-10 Legrande II or III. must be black with at least 6 knee levers. I'll try to post a pic here but it doesn't near do it justice. I will take/send quality pics to serious buyers only, please. I also have video of Tommy playing it on the show and the tone is to-die-for. Bob [This message was edited by Bob Snelgrove on 21 February 2004 at 10:57 AM.] I've had a lot of interest for this amazing guitar. Here are some sound samples from Tommy playing it on TV. This is from a vcr tape, and the quality reduced so the file size could be manageable. At this point I'm asking $3000 or best offer. Remember, the guitar has less than a months' playing time on it and would sell for $5132.00 right now. [This message was edited by Bob Snelgrove on 22 February 2004 at 09:15 AM.] |

Great looking, and sounding ax Bob.I love Tommy White. His fills on Once A Day are just perfect. In my opinion,Tommy's years on TNN was the best exposure great steel guitar playing ever got.Not taking anything away from Mike Johnson who played for a much smaller audience. That was steel guitars greatest hour on TV.Folks from all over could tune in 5 nites a week and hear one of the greatest in the world and it was always in the mix. That's the kind of exposure that makes people sit up, take notice and say hey, I'd like to play that instrument. Sorry for the rant Bob.Best of luck with your sale..........bb |

Does this have Tommy's setup on it? Or should I say it has a Day pedal setup on it. This is a beautiful guitar. ------------------ |

John It does have Tommy's setup. I may have changed one lever, and his current setup may have changed since then. Thanks for asking. bob |

Did Joe Garner in Mississippi have this guitar in his shop at one time? If it is the one I played over there, it played like a dream! |

Reggie, This came from Mullen to Tommy to me. It does play like a dream. The Mullen mechanics are so precise and the pedal stops are tighter than any guitar that I have ever played. bob |

Reggie, It is not the same guitar you saw at Joe's. The Mullen Joe had from me was black and natural, however the pedal set up was the same. Folks, this is a very nice instrument indeed and if I needed another guitar this would be it. I also know Bob has taken every care to keep this guitar as new. |

Eight yrs. Why would someone not play this rig for 8 yrs? Bob, do the bellcranks have the nylon bushings where the pullrods pivot or are they like the late model (early '90s and up)Mullen bellcranks without the bushings? Are those Spurzel tuners I see? Larry R |

Larry, "So many guitars, so little time" Seriousy, I have a black P/P that really does have *the* tone (for me). I also have a Franklin w/ BL 705's. Those have been my main guitars for years and to be honest, The Mullen is so beautiful, I was always afraid of dinging it by taking it out! bob |
