Sleazmour, I think you're constipated and if you compile a list of anything, it will end up as constipated as you! Push/pulls are magical, they have a magical sound but when it's all boiled down, who is impressed with the sound? The one playing it! If you polled the audience as to what a push/pull was, 90% would say it was an oriental sex act!

By the way, the definition of constipated is:
one being full of sh!t
Nice attempt at leg humping though and NO, my push/pull is not for sale. You don't have enough money to buy it OR my CARTER!

Herb, I don't remember who said this, but it's a "goodern" anyway...

I have had nothing but positive experiences with push-pulls. As Bobbe says, "There is no such thing as a bad sounding push-pull." That has been my experience. I have owned three and they all were set up properly and that made them very trouble-free and easy to play.

In fact, I never really had to adjust the tuning of the pedals and knee levers when taking it out to play on a gig or the church. The most I would have to do is to tune a few of the strings openly.

The next time I buy one, then I want to get all the changes and knee levers I desire. The main draw back is how difficult it is to add changes. It can require a virtual "overhaul" underneath and it ain't cheap to have it done.

So, my recommendation is to get settled with the setup you want and then when you buy the guitar, have Bobbe, Cass, Ward, or Keyt (and probably others) put your setup on it from the beginning.

Another thing I have noticed is that push-pulls seem to break string 5 more often than the all-pulls I owned. Don't know why.

I have played some Legrandes that were "ball park" guitars, but not all of them were. It is much more of a "roll-of-the-dice" tone-wise to buy a Legrande sight unseen, than a push-pull. Obviously, that is not the best way to buy a used guitar.

The travel on Legrandes seem to be about as long as a push-pull and that is surprising and a disadvantage, IMHO.

I was referring to one of your other personalities, which told me that on the phone one day.

I hear that another advantage of alzheimers is that you meet new people everyday without having to go anywhere.
