Jody,

I'm so sorry for your loss. Someone once told me that what we're feeling, in these times, are very selfish feelings because she's finished her race and we are left to continue with ours. You'll find your peace in knowing she has found perfect peace. I love you buddy. Call me if you need anything.

Jody, words fail me in expressing the depth of my feelings for you in your loss.

May God speed Marilyn to the special place reserved for her where there will be no more sorrow and no more pain!

Jody, my good friend, no words are necessary to you in order to let you know how I feel about your loss. I'm very sorry, but I feel assured the sun will rise in the morning in the east and you and I will have to face the day. I sincerely hope you live the rest of your days in the enduring peace and knowledge the separation is only temporary.

Jody-I am really sorry. I had hoped with our prayers, somehow, Marilyn would be healed.

But God had other plans for her, and now she is in HIS place in Peace...al

Jody: There are no words to express the sorrow we feel for you and the loss of Marilyn. She's home now in her Savior's arms. Time is the best healer Jody...it will be hard in the days ahead but Roy and I will continue to hold you in our hearts and prayers.

We are thankful that we got to meet her at the convention. She was so special and someone we will never forget.

Jody if there is anything we can do please let Roy and I know.

We will call soon and talk. Take care of yourself now...she would want that and you know it.

We love you so much Jody. Give our love to the girls too and of coarse, Casey!

God's blessings, comfort and love.

Hugs, tons of the Jody!

On June the 26th of 2002 you wrote to me and said my stories bring tears to your eyes. Now your story brings tears to mine as well.
I doubt if there is anything we could do to ease your grief but we offer it just in case there may be something. I'll wait for you to let us know if there is anything we could do to help....

Warmest Regards, Paul

Jody, when I read your message, tears welled up in my eyes and a lump in my throat choked me. I have never met you or Marilyn, but through this forum I feel like I have known you. I just hope the many kind words that have been written here will give you some comfort as much as knowing she is with our savior now. God Bless you.

Mr Carver.

I have the deepest support for you and your connection to all things good and honorable.

I thank you for your inspiration and the example you set for us all with your kindness and spirit.

Should you run low from the giving, or suffer exhaustion from refusing to turn callous, I pray that you will be refilled ten times.

The gentle are the ones that God makes the strongest.

I want to be more like people like you, and I don't even know you personally.

All my Best and my Prayers.

Eric J Lundgren

We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

Keep smilin' through
Just like you always do
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say hello
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.

Everyone on the Forum is deeply saddened by this news. Marilyn braved her illness so galantly right to the very end. Jody was there all the way. Their's was a love of 50+ years and we can only imagine the pain in his heart at this moment. Jody, our love and sincerest condolances are with you at this very sad time. Marilyn is at peace now. May God bless you Jody, Lorrie, and Casey. Sincerely, Mary and George in Canada.

Jody,
I'm SO SORRY to hear this. I only met her (& you) the one time,in St Louis, but I feel that I've known BOTH of you,all my life. My heart aches for you at this time, but the joy that's in it,because of our meeting, far surpasses the pain. I'm just so glad that she saw you reach your "pinnacle",in the steel guitar world. Now,she is at her pinnacle. GOD bless both of you.
