Thanks for the pix. I have to ask. Does Mr.Koefer always hold his bar that way? Or was he holding it as pictured for a special effect or lick????..........bb

He always holds it that way. Whats odd about this photo is the fact that he's actually looking at the guitar. Last time I saw him play he may have glanced at it a time or two, but that's all.
Oh, he's really good too.

Thanks Mike. I've heard he was a killer player in the old days. Didn't know he was still at it.I would love to hear him play.BTW. I have a single neck somewere in my dads attic with that same finish..No Kidding..........bb

Bobby Koefer is one of the most unique players I have ever seen. He always holds his bar in this way, he also only uses a thumb pick to strum across the strings.

He is a real character and showman who even danced and sang Hawaiian style when Herb Remington played "Hawaiian Warchant"!
