No BS here! I got to try three of Rick Aiello's dustpans (tuned A6, E maj, and C6/A7) at the HSGA convention last week, and to my ears they do. To my hands, the string response felt very similar too! Only thing is, since the dustpans are solid necks, they sustain a heck of a lot longer than the frypans I'm used to (which are all hollow). The tone is there, and that makes me pretty excited, because now there is a real alternative to the vintage Rickenbacher pan which has become increasingly scarce. Mike Scott and Bobby Ingano raved about the harmonic response of the guitar I wouldn't doubt the success of the dustpan... after all Rick Aiello is related to both Adolph Rickenbacher and Andy Aiona. Phonetically, that is.[This message was edited by Jeff Au Hoy on 19 October 2004 at 03:08 PM.] |

Congrats Rick. Makes me wish I was in the market for another guitar. I am typing this out of sight from my wife. 54 yrs ago when we were married she weighed 98 lbs. Last week she weighed 104 and all I've heard is "I'm too fat, I'm too fat". over and over. Lord save me from women. CC |
