In honor of our fearless leader I thought it would be fun to start a club.

All Fender steel guitars are welcome. You only have to be a little crazy to join.

I think this could be fun

Anyone interested???

Under the aluminum foil that is in the cavity
careful the aluminum is a ground shield and the aluminum foil is stapled. Remove it carefully if you do. But WHY? that guitar is more than likely a 56 or 57 at best.
Accept that as a fact. oops...The cavity meaning where the pickups are mounted.

Try neck closest to you.

To Earthling (love it) Dave,

"but we could promote him"

Hmmm, if we used chess power parlance, Bishop would be a lateral, that doesn't work for a lot of reasons. Next step up--Rook, Let's see, "Rook Carver". Nope, no good there. What's left? Que....noooo, let's not go there!! King Jody Carver or "the King". I don't think he'd like that!! How 'bout Master of the Fender Universe and the realm of Stingmaster's? Emperor Fender? Oh well....????

Joey, Decoder Rings? I like it, but the rumor issss, we would get what Jody calls a "pizzamaster". TX

and no club is a club without a theme song.

ah one, ah two, ah three (in JI now)

I've got a club
You've got a club
Everybody's gotta have a club
But there's only one real club for me
Good ole' Jody's club

Now about that photo of Jody's stump ( )

It dates back to the days of yore. There were gallant Knights, but the people needed a leader. The legend was, he who could extract the Stringmaster from the Stump would be destined to rule. They came from Neer and far but to no avail could any knight extract the Stringmaster.

Then one day, a young lad in a windbreaker approached the stump. Nobody had taken notice. Scratching his.....head, he strummed the back neck and upon hearing an A6, grabbed the Stringmaster and effortlessly drew it from the stump. The people gasped. Here was their leader. He was then presented with a tweed case and dubbed Knight.

His first act as The Knight of Fender Tweed,.....was at the Village Barn. He played three sets, had a couple of egg creams and took the bus home.

Moral of this story.....where there's a will........there's a relative.

To Wit:
And so, as legend has it, the Gallant Knight of Fender Tweed, Sir Jody Carver, brought forth out of the mythic age of darkness at Camelnot, the long suffering no-pedal Steeler's and wicked, wierd, Jester's into the new dawn of light, through A6th, E9th, C6th, tunnings and whatever ??? he strummed on that 4th neck, just wonderous music to the "Great White Way" and created the new realm of Fender Tweed known as:
ta, ta,
" The HOT CLUB OF AMERICA" as in CD TX

Absolutely not (right, fellas?) You just have to love Fender Steels to be welcome in this club - that's the only qualification necessary! And if you do, you'll probably get one sooner or later anyway . . .

What about "Hail to the Chief" as our theme song?

Count me in: Fender Triple Custom. I traded Bobby Black a Fender Dual Custom for it. Evidently he didn't leave any of his talent in it; at least I haven't been able to get it out :-)

This article that ran in the L.A. Times is about the first time a Fender was heard coast to coast - played by none other than our fearless leader! I'm guessing the year was about 1954, maybe '55 . . ?

A "git" strummer no less! Man, I love that kind of lingo!

Just thinking out loud here Guys !!!
There is a couple thing that should be done before this gets to big .
#1 is this OK with Jody Carver ?
#2 should there be some kind of disclaimer so nothing reflects on J. C
.
#3 Should this be OK with all !
Jodys plak (SGHF) would be a nice letter head

My D8 even made what would be the centerfold......if it were more than 1 page.

Great idea.

Do we need a club house? I have some old marine grade plywood lying around somewhere.
