When my dad helped me buy my first steel circa 1958, I had no idea about makers, models etc. There was only one other steel guitar around these parts ... it was a Bigsby and its owner wouldn't let me near it. Then I was away from guitars and music for 30+ years. Combine that with where I live and my knowledge base did not increase until I found the Forum and got into pedal steel.So... the question is, what model does the following appear to be. I do know it was a Gibson double-8. I also remember each neck had a 3 or 4 position "tone" switch at the right edge of the neck. ![](http://edusoft.ca/misc/rhythram.jpg)
Thanks for any help

The guitar player always has to be the show-off. Look at those white shoes. |

Lee, guess who got the most dates after gigs.Hint: it wasn't the accordian player or me. Howard, Mr. Peanut had the best grades in high school so he got to be leader.
