I do not know who is being considered this year, but Herby Wallace is past due for this induction.

Consider his monster playing, his courses, his teaching, his recordings, his attendance to nearly all the shows. Don't forget his store and the products he sells. He has always treated me and I am sure others, more than fair as a customer.

It really is a no-brainer!

Frank

Let me cast my vote of approval for Herby also. Herby is one of my best friends. We have worked together for many years and recorded together many, many times. What a "monster" player and yet very humble about his awesome talent.
Thank you Frank Estes for starting this thread.

Roy, you are "monster" in your own right. Herby's "Ivory and Steel" recording featuring you is one of my favorites. Some real hip singing there. Hope to see you in Knoxville and perhaps jam with you that Thursday night.

Herby in the Hall, yes even that sounds smooth. One of the best players around and one of the nicest. Great Gugamooga, Pat

Several of the players in the Atlanta area were discussing this very issue the other day. Herby certainly has all of the credentials! Equally at home on either neck, but when he gets on the C neck, hang on.....
it's an experience. Atlanta votes for Herby!!!

Herby is most deserving!! And as good a guy as we have sharing our love for the instrument. I have never called Herby and felt that he did not have time for me. A great guy and wonderful player. Thanks for bringing it up Frank. I vote for Herby!!!!

I wholeheartedly agree. Herbys playing is tremendous and he is also a great person to talk to, and will help anybody anytime. He makes you feel at home. He should have been in before now.

For my money, he should have been there a
lonnnnnnnnng time ago!!! (He charges 25 cents
for an autograph, though).
Just a joke, (Herby's own) folks.
Herby in the Hall of Fame? YOU BET!

Herby Wallace is not only one of the greatest
players of our time, but one of the finest
people. I've known Herby for many years and
he certainly should, by-all-means, be in the Hall Of Fame.

It seems you have to meet some strengent requirements to be in that Hallowed Hall.
1) Have your name on a great guitar, (Mullen
HWP Model)
2) you have to be successful.
3) wealthy.
4) reasonably good looking
5) old.
Now Herby being the GREAT player he is, has met all the other requirements and most of the above. Maybe they could waive the last one and go ahead and put him in. You got my vote Herby!

There are not quite enough words to amply describe just how good Herby is. I just think of all the times I've heard "All of Me" and just shook my head and laughed, not really believing what I heard!!!!....he's truly spectacular, and the Hall of Fame should be honored to have him!

My best to you Herby!

I just finished one of his seminars last month in Plant City Fl. and if you ever get the chance be sure to take advantage of it.
Thanks Herby,

You bet he should be, I bet theres a ton of pickers out there like myself, that had it not been for Herbys seminars, we would never have picked a lick on the C6th neck - I owe every song I play on that neck to Herby Wallace, he's already in my "Hall of Fame" and should surely be in the big one too!! http://www.hereintown.net/~shobud75
