Hi Bill, welcome aboard the good ship "Steel Guitar Forum". It's great place to be, some days the seas are calm and some days it's perilous, but all in all, it's a fun place to be even for us piano players.

I live just down the road from Bill. I agree with Bobby, that he is a great player and a fine gentleman.

Bill is always willing to help me, show me and explain anything I ask. In fact, I called him Wednesday night with a question. No matter how busy he is, he is willing to help.

We don't get together nearly enough, though.

Welcome to the Forum, Bill . We'll probably "talk" more here than we do on the phone.

Bud

Welcome Bill.

I met Bill a few years ago when we opened for Gene Watson, with whom Bill was playing, at the Lumberyard here in Austin. Bill was playing a very soulful looking old black PP Emmons and throwing out some killer Duke Ellington or Count Basie riffs on his E9 neck. A little while later I stopped by his house to talk steel guitar and we jammed a little bit, Bill's a hot jazz guitarist too.

Welcome aboard, friend!
