Years ago, I use to take guitar lessons from Hank Corwin. Hank then moved to Nashville and played with several groups. The last time I heard about him he was playing pedal steel with Porter Wagoner. I wonder if he's still playing with PW or with someone else? Hank, if you out there, give a holler!

Last I heard, several months ago, Hank has "retired" and was raising dogs. I don't know if the retirement was forced or voluntary.

As I remember,I worked one of the clubs for Hank Corwin on broadway one time,Probably the Wheel, or Merchants',Lynn Owsley was at Deemans...Back then Nashville closed about midnite.....I always liked to play at least until dawn.Jerry Braswell worked for Jim Ed somewhere in that time frame

GOOD GRIEF!! Jerry Braswell! I haven't heard that name in a "hunnert" yrs. I wonder what he's up to?
Hank is the person responsible for me coming to Nashville. If I ever see him again,I'm gonna shoot him.

Jerry is alive and well in the Atlanta suburbs. He plays weekends with a couple of groups. He's with me on the Georgia Mtn. Fair staff band where he plays bass and sings. A great fellow. I'll tell him you inquired, Smiley.
