If you like a little rock with your steel, try and catch R.E.M on "Later, with Jules Holland" on BBC America TV. I have seen their hour long performance twice in the last month or so. B.J.Cole plays both lap and pedal steel and sounds great. On "Crazy what she could of had",they have some great shots of B.J and have the steel is right there in the mix--sweet!

Absolutely right David. BJ's playing on Country Feedback is beautiful & REM are on top form.

He doesn't play on Up - John Keane usually plays steel on REM's studio stuff. Recently BJ has been recording with ex-Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft & will be touring with him in the UK.
