I'll be in Las Vegas, Nevada next week. Just wondering if there was a pedal steel retailer there?

Mike-- I was there last year at this time and had no luck finding anybody selling steels. I looked on and off the strip, downtown and in Henderson. Hopefully, you will have better luck

I saw a Sho-Bud S-10 in a pawn shop at Easter time. That was the only PSG I saw during the entire trip, not a single band playing anyplace had a steel player.

Try Sam's town for some steel playing. I go down there about twice a year and park my camper in their RV Park. Have always found a steel player there.

Tommy Eppes... known as "Tommy Wayne" is one fine steel player in Vegas. You can reach him at 702-220-5296. Tell him Jeff Hyman told you to call. He'll know where any steel stores are in driving distance. If you get a chance, he's worth checking out while you're in Vegas. He's a fabulous picker and a great person too.

When I lived in Vegas in the early eighties I found a good deal of steel work at Sam's Town and on the strip, but ended up playing rock guitar at the Nevada Palace to make ends meet! There were some great music stores but NO STEELS. If you can find out where Buzz Evans is playing GO! He will tear your head off...
