I'm working out Bud's Bounce on E-major tuned Dobro. Just want to confirm what my ears tell me. Can someone post the chord progession please? Thanks.

You can find It In Winnie Winston's "Pedal Steel Guitar". That's the only place I've ever seen It.

Andy,

Winnie's book does have an arrangement of Bud's Bounce but it is in the key of "G". He didn't include the chords with the tab of the song but I'll try to figure out what they are for you. I don't play dobro so I was curious, are you going to be playing the tune in the key of "E"...? or in "G" as it was written..?

Key of E. You can pull The 2nd string and third string to approximate the pedal sound Bud used.

The old (original) Emmons Guitar Co E9th course has a killer arrangement in the Key of F. Herby Wallace did some of the Emmons Guitar Co instructional material and could have done this.

That was where I learned the song and the version that is on my CD is close to that version.

I've heard Neil Flanz's version and it's similar.

Jeff Newman also has it in one of his early
courses with tab.
He does it in G.

Thanks for the info everybody. I found a nice version by Buddy Emmons that's in E and I'm using that as my template. Bud's Bounce lays out perfectly on Dobro in E major tuning. You can get the opening lick as either a pull or a slant. I prefer the pull as it better approximates the pedal sound.
