I'm Brett Day, a new steel guitarist with cerebral palsy, and I want to know who plays steel with Kenny Chesney. He was playing a ZumSteel. If anybody on the forum knows who he is, please let me know. Thank you. Brett Day, Emmons S-10

His name is Jim Bob Garrett.
A great steeler!!
He played for Sammy Kershaw for a few years, then moved over to Kenny's band a couple of years ago.

Yep, it's Jim Bob... We've known Jim Bob and his family for about 25 years.. When I first met him, he was working with his brothers (The Garrett Bros. Band), in Billing MT... They worked around this area for years. Jim Bob moved on and joined Sammy Kershaw about 5 years ago or so, and besides playing steel, became his band leader. When Jim Bob quit Kershaw, I was contacted by Kersaw's organization to play steel. Unfortunately,(or maybe not ), I had to turn the job down due to family obligations... Jim Bob tied up with Kenny Chesney a little over a year ago... He is one fantastic picker and it was delightful to watch this young man of 15 or so, grow up and become the phenomenal picker he is now days... Go Jim Bob!!!! We love ya, man!!!

The Epperles....
