![]() ![]() I have the opportunity to acquire this old amp. Anyone have any idea what it might be worth? Probably has a 10-12 inch speaker inside; seven tubes. Physically in good shape; sounds good! Slight HUMMMMMMMM but tolerable except in a recording studio. This is an Epiphone Electra mdl. [This message was edited by Ray Montee on 01 February 2004 at 02:41 PM.] |

![]() ![]() $300-400 (in exc. condition). Personally, I'm a huge fan of Epiphone--I have several pre-war archtop guitars and a pair of '40s amps, but I'm not all that fond of the later stuff. You might hang on and wait for something a little older, or maybe an old '50s Gibson. In fact, another sleeper amp would be a Nat Daniel-designed Montgomery Ward or Airline, as well as Danelectro. Nat Daniel designed the early Epiphone Electar amps, and they sound very unique, in a wonderful way. [This message was edited by Mike Neer on 02 February 2004 at 07:22 PM.] |
