My vertical KL on my Mullen is hanging down too low, and I notice that the 2 plastic hex tuners for that KL are sticking out farther than all the others, kind of out of line. They have a lot of slack in them, and when I manually push them into line with the others, the KL moves up to where it ought to be in the first place. Should this slack be removed, and is that the way to make the KL stay put up higher? If so, how do I make this adjustment? Thanks, Jim

Jim - Look under your guitar and you will see a screw that the knee-lever hits. The screw has a nut on it. Once you loosen the nut, the screw can be turned. By repositioning this screw, you adjust how much travel the knee-lever has. What you need to do is shorten the travel distance of the lever, so you would turn the screw clockwise. After shortening the travel of the lever, you will need to adjust the nylon hex tuners by turning them clockwise. I would do this in small steps until all the slack is taken out of the knee-lever. When you have everything adjusted just right there should be no play in the knee-lever. Once there is no play in the lever, tighted the nut on the stop screw under the guitar. That way it will stay in place. The next step is to adjust the height or angle of the knee-lever. That is adjusted with a hex screw that is in the end of the knee-lever, where it is attached to the bracket.Send me an e-mail if you need more help. I've spent so much time under my Mullen I can work on it in the dark. Del's guitars are easy to change around and easy to adjust. Just play around with it for a while and you will see how to adjust that lever. Once you're done with the vertical lever, go through the other levers and pedals and take out the slack there, too.
