I just received my new Carter-S10 3/4 yesterday and need some info and advise on what to do with my old steel.I bought this D-11 as a pile of parts that someone tried to refinish and failed (badly!),I intended to make it a double neck non-pedal steel but after I refinished it I couldn't resist at least trying to hook up some pedals, they didn't work very well but they made me want a real psg.As far as I can tell it was a cable type changer that only raised the pitch of the string, and I don't see how a knee lever would work on this but...anyway it doesn't have a mfg. plate or mark but it does have a plate that says, "Twin Bonanza".It doesn't have any ser. # or any other markings at all. I'm wondering if anyone knows who made this and when and should I leave it alone or try to put more modern changers in it.I read a thread a few days ago lamenting the butchering of the old great guitars but I don't know if this one qualifies for that status. Thanks for any help Jeff
