I recently bought an Emmons Push Pull S-10. Matte black mica on a single body, has a silver colour Emmons badge on the front.Serial number is 1240 S. Anybody have any ideas on what year it could be? [This message was edited by Glenn Austin on 03 August 2001 at 07:40 AM.] |

Ray, you're too kind; and just about everything I know about PP's I gleaned from Mike Cass, who's the real PP detail man. I just compile a list of early D-10 serial numbers and try to learn more about the guitars I personally own. Anyway, I don't have a list of S-10 serial numbers. It would be easier to date the thing by its characteristics (e.g. logo plate or decal, style of tuners, pedal width/type, back apron style, undercarriage flocking, date code on the tone pot, etc.) Some other forumites who have S10's of the same general number range, and know when their guitar was made might be of more help. ------------------ |

Hi Glenn, no idea about the age of your guitar, but maybe a few pics would help to determine its approx. year of manufacture... ANDY ------------------ [This message was edited by Tele on 03 August 2001 at 02:21 PM.] |

Sorry Everybody! That s/n was 1240 S. I've been spending way too much time lying on the floor these past 2 weeks!! Salut Sylvain! Comment ca va. Sylvain Vallieres is a good friend of mine, who also happens to have a real nice push pull too! His band is going to be playing the main tent at Quebec's biggest country music festival this September, Festivale Western de Ste. Tite. A good gig if you can get it.There are between 300 000 to 400 000 people who go there during the week that the festival is on. Back to my guitar, It has the Kluson keys with the round buttons, and the back apron is straight across. Changer is a cuttail style and it has the wide cast pedals. It also has the black flocking underneath. I'm just curious about it's age as the guitar is in almost like new condition. Thank you to all who replied to this post. [This message was edited by Glenn Austin on 03 August 2001 at 08:53 AM.] |

...that would be my guess too, Andy. My cut-tail is # 1159S, and I believe it is 1968 or 1969... |
