Hi Jody,
Your Hot Club of America CD is fabulous! I just finished listening to it. I can't wait to share it with my co-workers at Fender. I imagine Leo may have really liked this album, too.

Some great arrangements done with skillful execution. I think you demonstrated superior bar control with your crashes. I really like Idaho, Brazil, & Limehouse Blues.

Johnny Cucci must have been the consummate NYC professional guitar player from that
era. Was his guitar made especially for him or maybe a prototype? The
body looks different and the color had a worn look (you'll probably tell me it
was a standard model from those days, right?).

Once again, thanks for sharing your CD with me! It is a real treasure.

Best Regards,
Sam Marshall

Thank You Sam
Johnny's guitar was stock.Yes Johnny was a top studio guitarist and had played guitar with Montavani, George Shearing,Merv Griffin
and was featured guitarist as the Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Both Johnny and myself did the Griffin show and the Radio City Music
Hall during the Christmas holidays.

Yes Leo always praised our efforts and to this day his wife Phyliss still plays the Hot Club LP.

Thanks for your compliments. The sound was not all in the musicianship but the sound of the FENDER guitars and amplifiers which made it some thing special to all of us members of the Hot Club Of America.

Give my best to all the fellows at Fender and especially to Larry Moudy.

I plan on visiting Southern California some time in the early fall and will stop in to say hello to everyone at Fender. Watch for my Book "THE LAST FENDER GUITAR" coming soon
I think those of you at Fender will appreciate it. I will be sure to send you a copy.

Fondest Best Wishes to all of you of the Worlds Greatest Musical Instrument Company
