Jerry sends a very gracious Mahalo for all the many, many cards and good wishes he has recently received. There were several hundred and he appreciates all the good wishes, thoughts and prayers all of you have sent his way. They were all very much appreciated. He has his good days and not so good days. He remains in the hospital and in the near future will be transfered to a care facility as soon as all the arrangements are made and a room is available. Please keep him in your prayers. |

Thanks Jack,..I was able to talk to Jerry today,..we reflected on some good times and some great memories. He said they were trying some new kind of medication(s) and said "I think they want me to be a guinea Pig"....but hopes they will have a positive result. Jerry reflected back on some shows and some old movies, and a couple trips to Japan. We talked for about 30 minutes and he said "Well I've to get off of here, they're coming in to give me a bath, and I love all you guys". We have had some great times together,..and I love Jerry Byrd! Hi Jack: Tell Jerry that we are thinking of him and praying that he will improve with the new medicine. Every steel player in the world is beholden to the one and only Jerry Byrd and his style of play. Sure hope that he can make it back to the International Steel Guitar Convention in the future....Stoney Stonecipher |

Jack-We live so near and yet so far. I was glad that I finally got to meet you in Grand Rapids at LT.Zinn"s HOF Show.I remember you lived just a couple of miles from me, and I didn't know it at the time. If I did I would have asked you a lot about your Brother Jerry. As you might know, Jerry and I spent our early years in Ohio at the same time, but never met. I finally met him in 1977 at Scotty's. I hope that now he will improve and feel like his old self again with the new medication. ....al
