I'm playing the Texas Star in northeast Dallas again this Friday and Saturday night, but I don't want anyone to come see me. I've mentioned it several times before and no one has shown up, and I want to keep my record intact. I'm starting to feel like Smiley.

Rte 26 in Sandy OR. Fri Sat.

The guitar player punched out the now ex-drummer last week and broke him pinky so I'll be playing all the fills and leads.

I usually walk all over him anyhow, so it'll just be less a bunch of out of tune telecaster noise.

Pig Roast and Farm end of summer party in Lafayette. Had a lot of these farm gigs this summer, and they are a blast. Money's good, and the food is better! Saturday Night.

Yeah Wayne, was through "Tish" just yesterday!! It's a real neat little town with a down home country atmosphere! By the way, My gig went great Saturday nite---even managed "Steel Guitar Rag" without too much colateral damage!! That's a mile marker for a newbie goober like me!! My next mile marker I look forward to is when I play long enough to dread "SGR"!!! HUM--- How long will that take??

The work really picks up when everyone else takes off for St. Louis.

I'll be in Larry Sasser's seat Saturday night at the Shrine Temple in Atlanta.

On Sunday, I'll set in for Tom Dodd at a private party in Dahlonega with the awesome Brad Williams. Each time I hear Brad I wonder why I gave up this gig three years ago. There's no substitute for having a fun steady gig with great talents that inspire you.
