www.kenemerson.com Last night was on stage with 2 other slack key artists and the producer to accept the award for their CD efforts. Ken is one of the best ever on accoustic/National steel, and it's great to see him get some very deserved attention along with the others and slack key/Hawaiian music in total. If you can find a color shot of them on stage you'll easily spot him, wearing a wild neon thread/embroidered jacket (given to him by Todd Rundgren) while everyone else are in tux's. "showing the beauty of Hawaii". He's got some very good CDs available, and that's about the only place you'l hear him unless you are in Hanalei, Kauai. |

I'd certainly be interested in hearing what he sounds like. Any recommendations? |

Mike, there are mp3 examples from his CDs on his website; http://www.kenemerson.com/entrance.html He is also featured with one tune on the "Legends Of The Incredible Lap Steel Guitar" CD from Horsesrock Records. Steinar ------------------ www.gregertsen.com

I really like the Swinging in Paradise CD he did with Michelle Edwards. He does three or four tunes on electric steel. |

I own and recommend Slack & Steel, Liko Records LRCD 2002. I'm sure his other CDs are fine, too, but that's the one I own. Actually, he moved up to the Seattle area a couple of years ago. He's a nice guy and a fantastic guitarist in his own way. |
