We are updating our website to include the new MSA SuperSlide. This part of our site is still under construction. However, there are some nice photos on our site now. There will be more photos, details and pricing info to come in the next few days.

Now THIS looks like an interesting steel guitar! I'll have to have one. Glad to see a quality (non-pedal)steel available today. |

Hello Johnny,Would two six string tunings work on the SuperSlide ie E6th on the top six strings and C6th on the lower six? Is the pickup wound to accomodate that kind of set up? Roy |

Hello Roy,I believe Johnny is out this weekend and I know for sure that Reece is on his way home from San Diego. I will ask one of them to answer your question when they return. The pickup in SuperSlide is a George L 12-1 or 10-1. Kyle

Well, I was lucky enough to get an up close and personal look at this steel just yesterday. Not only did I get to see it, but I got to hear Reece play it!! Jim Palenscar (a forum member and PSG player) had the grand opening of his new steel guitar shop here in Oceanside CA.. Reece was there at the shop and later played at a show that night along with Dave Wright and JD Maness. For me, him playing the Superslide was the highlight of the show. Absolutely beautiful tone. Of course, that was in Reece's hands. It was a 12-string. They will make anything from a 6 to a 12 string if you want. I think he said the 12 was $1495.00. It looked extremely well made. Reece offered to let me play it, but that would have been right after he got done demoing it. I just didn't have the nerve to stumble around on it after he just got done playing it so beautifully. All in all a very cool experience.Roger |

Roy, thanks for your patience. The 12 string SuperSlide would easily accommodate two six string tunings. The pick-up is not an issue, as it does not recognize the difference in string gauges or pitch. We would, however, want to gauge the bridge to your specific tunings.Johnny Cox www.msapedalsteels.com
