I recently learned about this guitarist from another forum and wanted to pass the info along to those of you that enjoy rootsy, Americana thematic-based instrumental music.Greg plays all manner of guitars - Dobro, a Rick Bakelite, teles, mando-guitar, baritone, acoustic. His playing excells on all of them and he has tone "to die for". If you enjoy music from artists like Greg Leisz, Buddy Miller, Duke Levine, Daniel Lanois etc you are in for a treat. Here's his website: http://www.gregv.us/ He's got samples there, and you can purchase his tracks from iTunes, MP3.com and CD-Baby. His CD is called "Tailgate Troubadour". This is not a paid advertisement, and I have no vested interest except to turn my fellow players on to some great playing and music.

It's really weird. When I go to his site, all I see are broken links for all the images. I can view any one of the images by itself, but it doesn't appear on the page. I'm using both FireFox and Safari for the Macintosh. Anyway, thanks for the musical recommendation! It's always nice to hear someone taking a different approach to lap steel.------------------ Brad's Page of Steel A web site devoted to acoustic & electric lap steel guitars |

I'm using FireFox and can see most of the photos, but when I click on them to enlarge I get the broken image symbol. This didn't happen the last time (yesterday) I visited the site. |

Yeah, I'm seeing more problems with FireFox (on XP). Internet Explorer seems to be working fine though. |

I'm batting 0-for-3, trying Safari, IE and Netscape on my Mac.Make that 0-for-4 ... I finally got inspired to download FireFox. Still no images, but the audio clips sound good![This message was edited by Russ Young on 16 November 2005 at 11:16 AM.] |

Opera 8 all the way here..... I'll second Bill's recommendation of GregV,- great player, nice tunes and arrangements. Good to hear an instrumental guitar/lap steel album with no flash but full of substance. Steinar ------------------ www.gregertsen.com

Try typing gregv.us in your browser instead of hitting the link. I just tried it in Safari on a mac and that will work (but the link doesn't).Bill |

Thanks Bill! You mentioned some of my favorite artists... I'll check this guy out. I had no problem with his website using FireFox. |
