So... I've been culling and searching for ideas for another case for my Fender Champ (I just don't want to wear out the original). So far I'm thinking about either a TKL gig bag (model 4629) or maybe the hard case for the new Fender FS-52 ($40 @ GC). Does anyone know if these are a good fit with a '60 Champ? Both would have to be special ordered. Any other ideas and suggestions are welcome; but since I'm here in Brooklyn, a shot gun case is not a very practical solution. Thanks, eric |

Eric, I've been hauling around various lap steels with a gig bag made for a Fender Squier. A tad longer than it needs to be but not much. Pretty decent padding and a nice sized zippered pocket for cords, bars, picks and things, also has a strap. Cost me about $25 new. I think it's a great deal. http://www.lentine.com/82637.htm?parentid=378 [This message was edited by Ron Bednar on 31 March 2006 at 09:15 AM.] |

You could buy an Artisan EA-1 from Musicians Friend for $49.00, then use the gig bag it comes in for your Champ. It's a perfect fit. I wish Musicians Friend sold the bag by itself.------------------ Brad's Page of Steel A web site devoted to acoustic & electric lap steel guitars |
