Author Topic:   Galveston Resonator Dick Washburn New Member From: Texas, USA posted 06 November 2006 12:03 PM     profile   send email     edit I am getting on in years and have not played very much lately. I grew up with lap steel guitars and Dobro's. I have a double neck lap steel that I built and have been looking at getting a Dobro. How good is the Galveston resonator and because it is priced pretty low is it worth anything. I would not be opposed to changing the cone to a Quarterman if the quality of the main unit is OK. Th Regal is the only 'cheap' brand ($350 - $500) I have played that has some sound of a 'dobro' quality. Thanx, Jim
