Is there a clearly defined procedure for adjusting the Fender Stringmaster one-piece bridge?I only set it to the actual measurement of the particular scale __ measured from the crown of the nut to the crown of the bridge. Mr. Clean |

I've used a tuner in setting bridges. Tune a string to the proper pitch for that string and then test it at the octave position (12th fret) and see how it checks out. If it isn't right on, adjust the bridge accordingly. With a straight bridge you won't be able to get all the strings exactly correct but you can pretty close. With the two adjusting screws you can slant the bridge to compensate from treble to bass. |

Compare 12th fret harmonic to barred string at 12th fret. If barred string is flat in comparison to harmonic, move bridge towards nut. If barred string is sharp in comparison to harmonic, move bridge away from nut. |
