I want to "clarify" a comment I posted re my "long lost Bigsby Guitar" I had asked Jon Light to help me add a page to his (It;s Bigsby Time"

Jon was kind enough to send me all the info on how to apply my message to the nice photo he made up for me,,,,this guitar appears with ray Montee' beautiful 4 neck Bigsby.

Ray is very high on Jon and his willingness to help guys like me to do what is necessary to "paste copy" etc ,,,,this is all GREEK to me,,,,somehow my comment made it sound as though " Jon" never got back to me to help me
I want to publicy apologize to Jonathon Light if I messed up and implied that he didnt follow through to help me,

Jon please if you see this accept my apology so the whole world can see,,, DVA has told me you are a "cool" dude and more than willing to help illiterates like me,,,,I know you are one hell of a guy, so please accept my sincere apology.

I am still trying to figure oout how to do the post,,,but I think my strings are beginning to unravel ,,,help me re-wind them so I can get back in tune,,,,,my sincere apologies to you,,,Ray Montee was right,,,,, you are a GREAT GUY Jody

This thread is killin me ..LOL !!!
I too, have owned a few Bigsbys in my time.....the sound of course is unsurpassed ... ! Interesting comment made by Buddy Emmons when I gave him a solid state Standel Custom 15 for his birthday last year....& I quote....."There it is....!!! thats the sound !!..dont touch anything..!!" me :" ROFL !!!"
I might add, he was playing a push/pull thru it.I believe his LeGrande was still with the Everly's gear....Buddy called me several days later & remarked how much the sound reminded him of his Bigsby thru a Standel......('course we all know "E" could get tone out of a coffee table....).That Bigsby sound is so much the guitar...but also some of the amp.I have played a Bigsby T-8 I owned thru a Nashville 400. Fine amp..but not 4 the Bigsby..imho....
If you ever have the opprotunity to play thru a Standel with just about anything..I think it will surprise you. May ruin you for life if you happen to have a Bigsby handy at the time.LOL ! Great thread Guys !!...its Sat. mornin here in Tennessee.....Think I'll call up Eddie Stubbs @ WSM & request "Slowly" and "More and More"......
Eddie would get a big kick outta this thread ...!!!! [This message was edited by Mike Cass on 24 March 2001 at 06:11 AM.]

Hi ,,,it's me again,,,,,,making a long story short (again).

About two miles north of this post,,,I posted
something called "My Middle Leg" where I make
reference to the great Freddy Tavares.

I have received a few e mails re Foy Willings Capitol recording of this tune "Anytime" where Freddy plays like Freddy always played. I have asked my good friend Mike Gross to play this cut next week
for those of you who have not heard this recording ,,I think you will enjoy it,,,you will not hear Joaquin,or Noel, or Herb R.or Speedy,,,you will hear Freddy Tavares at his best,,,playing his style of "hot hawaiian" on a what is now called a "country pop classic" Anytime,,,I hope you will all like Mikes show and Imsure Freddy will leave you tapping your feet to his great style of playing.

It is easier this way ,,,would rather have you hear it,,,it would be difficult for me to "whistle or hum" it for all of you,,I wouldnt know how to do that on this PC...enjoy what you will hear,,,,,Im sure you will....tune in Friday night 9pm EST to Mike at www.swingingwest.com his show is from 9pm till midnight,,,,,,I asked Mike to do this for you guys,,,,,and if you dont .....I will whistle it for ya,,,but my whistle "aint what it used to be " Jody
