I just bought a new LP of this title at a Warehouse Music that was going out of business. I didn't know she started out singing country. This album is produce by Pete Anderson and is one of the best i've heard in awhile. Lots of steel guitar.

It's kind of appropriate, though. Sara was a background vocalist for quite a few Martina McBride songs, who also kicked off her career with a not-so-successful but very traditional country record, The Time Has Come.

Sounds like I need to go out and find Three Chords & the Truth as well. Thanks very much for the recommendation, Wayne!

Based on this thread, I just bought the album via iTunes. It is very good.

My copy of that great album is autographed. She hadn't had a number one hit at the time I saw her. The joint was so small that I actually walked just outside to my car and got he CD after her show. I told her that was the best CD's I'd bought in at least 3 or 4 years.

I bought her next couple of CD's but eventually lost interest. I still play all the of her CD's that I own and I'm glad her career has taken off al beit in a more commercial direction. She's got such a beautiful and strong voice, but I won't buy CD's if I only like 3 or 4 tunes on the album; or on the artist's previous album.

I bought it used at Hasting's a couple of years back. I can't imagine anyone wanting to get rid of it. Too bad this kind of music didn't provide her major success.
