Well, I guess the powers that be, i.e. ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, RELIGIOUS RIGHT, etc. have found the Record Lady's site and cancelled it. I can't seem to get it anymore. It was a great site with "real" country music on it. Not this NashTrash that the media is so determined to cram down our throats to make us braindead. What a neat site. Thank you "Record Lady". It was a great idea.

My first reaction to reading this post was, "it was bound to happen sometime".

I still believe that. If there's stuff you want there, I'd get it now.

The site may last many more years, or be gone tomorrow.

I'm moving this to MUSIC.

Joey's right, I went to James old Time Country Jukebox, and there was a message from the site host that they would no longer carry it, so that's gone. So get what you want from it just in case.

I am systematically downloading every song offered there. If they take her down, they'll have to get me too...

Sorry to hear about James. I enjoyed the music there. My wife downloaded most of the songs from the Record Lady on the high speed connection at work and put it on a data cd. It plays a little jerky that way unless you copy it to your hard drive.

I tried to get back on the Record Lady's site and did it with no problem. Don't know what happened. First, I'm told the page was not available, and then the next day I went right to it. Weird. But it is a great site. I hope it stays on for another fifty years or more. Viva la "real" country music.

I wrote to her and she answered. The stuff she is offering is old and not hurting any record co. anymore than all the radio stations. I dont think the guy is for real that is accusing her anyway but she couldnt
take the chance. Maybe she can come back.
