Here are a couple of MP3's from my friend Ray Rigg's CD "Guitar Only". Ray is an outstanding guitar player and has worked in Nashville with several including Barbara Mandrell (when Russ Hicks was on steel in the band), Paycheck, and several others.

The liner notes for the CD are "No Band, Gadgets or overdubs - nothing but guitar"

Ray is our lead guitar picker on our club steel shows and for the Hall of Fame fundraising show we had two years ago. Herby Wallace was on the HOF show and was going to play "My Window Faces South" and commented "I better get this right with Ray Riggs being here".

The two MP3 songs are "Ray's Nightmare" and "Shadow of Your Smile"(which he dedicated to the late Tommy Jones).

Ray has been a friend since the sixties, and I believe it would be impossible to find more of a guitar virtuoso. He also plays other instruments very well, and was a member of Buck Owens Bakersfield Brass, playing trumpet and guitar. He is an outstanding picker, and a very nice friendly person. I'd like to see him get the world wide acclaim that he deserves.

Howard, Ray has also taken up steel guitar. He has an MSA (I think it's an MSA) and he keeps telling me he's going to come to one of our club jams but he hasn't shown up yet.

If he showed up playing a psg it wouldn't surprise me at all. Unless he played badly, that would surprise me. Ha!
