I'm furious! Just found out last night that Sirius dropped WSM effective Sept. 13th. I've voiced my opinion with them and encourge other Sirius listeners to do the same.

Yes I found out the same thing that is the only reason I went with sirius over XM. I wonder if they dropped them or WSM pulled out? I also wonder if WSM will appear over at XM right beside Willy's place if it does I'll be switching pretty quick. The main reason I even got satellite radio was to listen to the Opry in high quality and even then the tight wads wouldn't broadcast in stereo. I think that WSM may be very paranoid about folks stealing their high quality signal and selling it.

I don't know that for sure but I'll bet you it might have something to do with their not being on sirius any more.

Sure glad I decided to punt on Sirius....WSM was the only reason that I considered them...but when they payed the likes of Howard Stern all that I money, I just refused to help them pay him.

Thats amazing, I got exactly the same E-mail. I thought the e-mail was an insult! I felt like they are saying "big deal, we offer the same thing on the roadhouse". I enjoyed WSM and considered it the #1 Country Channel on Satelite because of the Opry, and Eddie Stubbs, just to mention a few. I feel like Willie's Place (formally Hank's Place) is a close second. As far as I'm concerned if the drop of WSM is permanent, then I will drop Sirius for XM.
