Are the older Goodrich volume pedals ok to use with pedal steel. There are 2 on Ebay that I am wondering about. One is model 6122, and the other uses a light beam and plugs into 120V with a wall wart. Thanks in advance for the info guys. See you in Grand Rapids.

I really don't have an answer for your question other than the fact that I used to use a Goodrich lite beam pedal. I thought it needed some service work so I sent it to Goodrich. They wouldn't return it to me. Instead they gave me credit on a new pedal. The reason being that the lite beam pedal was dangerous on a wet stage and evidently they had some liability issues that they wanted to avoid. I liked the pedal but was happy with the credit toward a new foot volume.

The Model 6122 employs a no-loss circuit. It has a built-in impedance-matching so requires no external box. Has one output, one input, and tone control. Uses a 9 volt battery which has a very long life. Unplugging rear jack turns off battery.

I have a 6122 with the 9V battery. I play through both a Session 500 and a Nashville 400. Seems to work fine. I do often forget to unplug the rear cable, which shortens battery life...but it has been a good pedal
