I am having problems with this amp,I turn it on and the red light comes on,then I hear a small pop.that is it nothing else, is there a reset or fuse?The manual does not show any.

James, check your speaker wire connections, but you will probably find the problem in one of the cords from guitar to VP, or VP to amp. Martin.

Martin thanks for the reply ,
I pulled out the speaker wires then reinserted them, turned the amp on and the amp worked for a few minutes,then I turned the amp off,then back on and it worked for a couple more minutes.then I tried the whole procedure over again with no success.
As for the wires, I have a Nashville 400 right beside the 1000 so I plugged into it and no trouble,wires to VP and Amp ok.
Maybe it is off to the Peavy doctor "eh".
