I need a practice amp that I can use ear phones with. Don't need an expensive one but one that is plenty adequate. Thanks |

Peavey Nashville 112. It not only has a headphone jack, but a jack by which you can plug in a CD or cassette player to play rhythm tracks or instructional material directly through the amp. |

I use a little Rolls Playmate MX56 mini-mixer with good success, though I did add a power supply. I think these are discontinued, but it looks like the Behringer "Eurodecks" do about the same thing. The mixer also lets you add a CD or tape player, and you can split your signal with a y-cord to dial in precise amounts of stompbox effects. I drive a bunch of stuff off a power strip, so it's "one-switch practicing." They're also useful for recording into your computer, and you can even hook up your TV and steel together so that you can make up your own soundtracks for football games. |

Traynor has a little 30 watt amp. It's called a "Reverb Mate 30". It has a phone jack, which bypasses the 10" speaker. It also has a line out, a foot switch jack, and send/return jacks. I gave $100 for mine. [This message was edited by James Morehead on 08 August 2004 at 05:10 AM.] |

I have a Peavey Blazer 158 which I find great. It has both a headphone jack and a CD/Tape input jack on the front panel. |

Billy, Don`t know if you can get them over there but the best thing I ever found was a JSH Rockbox You can clip it into your belt it is as light as a feather and you get pure stereo directly into your ears, The sound is awesome!! I have tried to reproduce that sound on stage but it loses quality as soon as you put it through the amps although its still a very good sound. The unit also has some nice effects Delay Chorus and compression |
