Started out with an old '54 Bassman cabinet
that I've had for years. I mounted an ultra
lightweight power amp in it as well as an
Eminence deltalite speaker. The whole thing is
fed by a PODxt. It's got enough power to blow
any other amp (or obnoxious drummer) right off
the stage. Also a pleasure to carry out to the
car at 2 in the morning!

Sure looks cool, really goes with your Emmons. I like the "wolf in sheep's clothing" approach. I have a home-brew amp based on a 4x10 '59 Bassman. It has a beefed-up power supply and heavy-duty speakers, so it's not so light. But it also sounds great with the Pod.

Jay,
Thinking about purchasing one.
How's the sound on the Eminence Deltalite?
Is it the model # 2515?
Vendor?

Jay, do you still have the bassman chassis? I have a cabinet begging for one! I just finished a 59 clone chassis and I have a second cabinet I am using as an extension. I was thinking about another kit for it. The real thing would be even better!

What was the ultra light weight power amp that you put in there - I have been wanting to do something like that for a while.

Great looking combo! I bet it does sound good too. Now why can't mfg's make something like that today. lots of power and light to tote around. I'm using a Peavey 112 now and I like it alright. Especially when its time to load up but I'm not sure its my ultimate sound just yet. I'm going to get one of those black boxes soon to throw in the mix just to see what it'll do to the sound of my Sho Bud. Great looking Emmons too.

David,
I know what you mean. I have old tube amps that are great, but because of their lower wattage they sometimes get lost on stage.
Willy,
I had a Soundtech PS802 that I picked up a few
years ago (slightly used) fairly cheap.
Rick,
The PODxt feeding the power amp has complete
tonal flexiblity. In addition to the tone knobs on top, there's a 4 band parametric EQ that you can adjust when you hit the "edit" button. You can tweek it to get alot of your favorite tones, then save each of them to memory. Plus there's all the effects that
include many fully adjustable reverbs.

A local music store in Germany offers the
the tube amp "ATOMIC RECTOR 112 POD XT" (12" Speaker, 18 Watt) with an extra space for the POD XT. Has anyone heard something about this amp?

Real Cool. Whats the back view ? I have the less hip peavy fake tweed "Bassman style" cab that I tried something similar, looked cool, but the knobs where hard to get at. Just curious. It don`t hurt to look hip.

I believe the "atomic rektor" is a tube power stage designed to add some analog character to the Pod like digital devices.

Well done !! thanks for the shot. My tweed cab doesn`t have the cut-out for the control panel, I`ll have to cut it, am looking for a good light amp head ( from a combo) the Peavy 112 sounds real good with a 15" BW, a delta blues cab would work well. I asked Mike Brown if I could buy the empty cab, but no dice. You got the right idea.
