I love this little voice recorder.
The cool thing is it's got built-in stereo mics and, even though it's made for voice, it doesn't do a bad job recording live music.

Sounds pretty good, Tony. How many hours of music can it record?

Only 1 1/2hrs. on stereo, David.
It does 3 hours, monaural and up to 8-10 hrs at lower quality (voice, speeches, etc)...which I'm sure is what it was designed for.
I just got lucky guessing it might record music decent enough to listen to.
It saves the music as .wav files so it's easy to burn CD's from it.

A few years back I bought an early vesion of one of these small digital recorders..it recorded about 15 min of reasonable quality audio.

OF all the things that are improving is the FLASH DRIVE size which allows for longer recording times with a higher quality audio capture.

The biggest issue for me with these new SMALL HI TECH WIZ gizmo's is that I can't read the display or whats screened on the little, and I mean little slide switches !

And I'm afraid if I leave it in my pocket ( see the little pocket clip )when I loose it my wife will find it in the washing machine !

but after all is said and done..I'm getting another one ..soon...

the clip above is great..

Does it have line out or digital out jacks?

It has a headphone jack, like an IPOD headphone jack...you use it to connect to the computer and download info as well as connect to an audio amplifier.
It's got a little built in speaker for monitoring.
TOny, I agree, the little hard to read displays on electronics drive me crazy s well, but I only push buttons on this...record, stop and play.
You don't need to really look at the LED.
(A red light goes on when you record and goes off when you push stop!)
