Hey Denny, It sure is nice to see you in here, my friend. I can't answer your question, but I have a mutual friend of ours coming to bunk at my house tonight, and I'm going to make him come on here and answer your question. I hope everything is great with you and yours, and I see you again soon. -John |

Denny, I believe your speaker baffle has screws into it from the back. There are some 3/4" x 3/4" wood mounting strips behind the baffle. Remove the 8 screw and the whole speaker baffle comes out including the speaker. To remove the grille cloth you then remove the aluminum colored vertical trim strips then the grille cloth. Jerry |

Hi John, Glad to hear from you. I'm going out to visit with Al Brisco in a few weeks. I'm going to work with him and learn how to set up the pp Emmons. I won't be able to make the Dallas show, but will be in touch with you when I get to Al's. Got that amp all figured out and I'll keep in touch and take care. |

Also that old cloth is not available at Peavey. You can get the same at Mojotone, it is called Fender black! |

On the 5 Peavey amps I've had,the grille is held on with velcro and you can just pop it off from the front with a putty knife or screwdriver. The speaker baffle is a seperate piece. -MJ- |

The LTD 400 was designed a bit differently than later Peavey steel amplifiers in that the grill cloth is secured to the baffle via staples. So, the complete baffle is secured to the cabinet and the speaker can be removed from the baffle via speaker nuts. |

Hey Denny how the heck are you. It's been a long time. I was wondering when I'd see your name pop up here. Next time you get over here to Canada give me a call. Next time I'm over on the island I'll give you a call. All the best. J.C. |
