Wow.I had about given up on "Steel" amps and have been trying out many standard amps. But today I was at the local music store and they had a Steel King hooked up to a Carter Starter. I had actually gone there to check out the Fender Ultralight amps (they only had the acoustic model, not the jazz model, but it sounded great.) Played around with the Carter Starter for fun and couldn't believe the sound of the Steel King. Dragged it home. Plugged my Superslide into it. Wow. Then I plugged my PodXT going straight into the fx return. Double Wow. Great, great amp. I'm in love. |

BTW, now I have to pay for it, so I just put my Fender Blue Deluxe Reissue up for sale in the For sale section. Check it out. |

Bill, Congrats on the Steelking! I have had mine now for about 16 months and I still cant believe how great it sounds.Brought it to a jam a couple of weeks ago and the other two steelers there used it for there sets to try it for themselves....I think they both are in the market for a Steelking now!! .....Enjoy it!------------------ SHO~BUDS,FENDER AMPS& GUITARS, TUT TAYLOR RESO'S "What a long, strange trip it's been"

Yeah, Well, I sold the Fender blues Deluxe (not on this site, but on the Brozman's site) and now I'm thinking I should buy a second one. For that stereo thing. The funny part is, I always thought that "Steel" amps were not going to give me sound I wanted. I was wrong. |

Bill, glad to welcome you to the "Steel King Family". I've been playing steel for about 54 years and I can say that without a doubt, the SK is the best sounding amp I have ever used, and I've used a lot in this length of time. You wont be sorry.Sam Lewis, PedalMaster D-10 8&5, MSA Classic D-10, 8&4, Twin Steel King,s and some more stuff that I don't need. |
