here's a quote from the PGmusic forum... Considering this is the second time they announce a release date, I'm not getting exited just yet...

Yep, I've been watching their forum for it.
It's been a long time coming. Promises and delays.

I guess that's better than a buggy release.

I'll wait for you guys to report back before I buy it.

I've never owned any BIAB, although I tried their WIndows eval version.

What is OSX?

!!!
it's the newer operating system for macintosh computers. On a side note, Apple is set to announce the new OSX "tiger" at some convention this summer! don't they get tired of releasing OS updates!? I'll bet you it won't work with this "new" release of BIAB

A day late, a dollar short...

Basically they had to port the old app to C++ Unix code. At least on a interface to system level.

In theory after this is done updates will be much faster, but it is a different programing environment.

Unless they have had expirience porting to other than just the old Mac from PC versions, which is unlikely,
they would have to learn another new system.
And programming envorinment.

This likely means 1 or 2 C++ guys join the team and the old hands lead them through the old PC to Mac porting and then design from scratch a new guts under the surface.

Based on the earlier logic, and maybe some "legacy code" AKA anciectral curse.

Add to that the likely desire to make the most of what OS X AKA Berkley UNIX would have to offer them, in short and long term.

I am not surprised it has been a long and oft delayed road.
But when it does get here it is likely to be very cool too.
