Please add Albert and Debbie to your prayer list. Albert has a problem that the Dr.'s are calling a paralyzed larynx, and has not been able to talk for over 3 weeks. Debbie has just had major surgery and is now home recovering.
Please remember these friends of ours in your prayers!
thanks,

You can count on a prayer from Kathie and I. I met him in Dallas and we had such a great time together...The jam in the Norris family music room was a lot of fun.

Our best wishes and prayers to you Albert and family..

Thing`s are not looking well for Albert. They have narrowed it down to either a stroke in the throat or Lung cancer. Albert`s Dad is also in bad shape so to say the least he need`s everyone`s prayer`s.

PLEASE PRAY for my buddie, Albert. He called me just now ( although he is not supposed to talk ) and ask that we continue to remember him in our prayers. He goes in this Friday for a biopsy, so they can determine if it "is" or "is not". There is a very good chance that it is stress related and not cancer. There are 2 other cases "known" that are stress related. " SO PLEASE PRAY FOR STRESS"!! We can deal with that!! He and Debbie need our support. Please remember him.
thanks,

Albert, I will be so glad when these tests are behind you. I am trusting that all will be OK! You have a lot of prayers going up for you and at a time like this they make a lot of difference. I know that from an experience 1 1/2 years ago. We are pulling for you and trusting that all is well.

Years ago when I was in town, I would go out on S. Main to the Bandera BallRoom (old Starlight Club) to hear Albert play. He was the closest thing to Buddy Charleton I had ever heard. Hang in there Albert. I pray that God's healing power will decend on you and Debbie and make you well and whole again. May God Bless and Keep You Always, Jody.

Italked to Albert last night. He had the biopsy. They had chipped two of his front teeth and knocked out a filling, he was told not to talk and to go home and not play, as you can see he he played. He said he won`t know anything until Wed. I`m praying it`s just stress over having to play with my bass playing every weekend.

Just to add a note to what Chuck said. I called Debbie, Albert's wife, a few minutes ago and she said that they removed a polyp from between Albert's vocal cords yesterday while they were doing the biopsy. One vocal cord is "still" not moving, and they do not know why. They should have the results of the biopsy next Wed.
Also remember Albert's father who is 83 and lives with Albert & Debbie. Debbie said he fell yesterday and split his head open , so Albert was going to call the hospital this a.m. about that.
Please keep all of them in your prayers!
thanks

Leonard T. Zinn and Evelyn Whitney will be in prayer for these two.
After I experienced the wonderous answers to prayer for my son Dennis's surgery, I am more aware than ever in the power of prayer.
Once again I want to thank all of you here on the forum who were in prayer for Dennis.
Now we turn our prayers to this brother and sister and hope they are loving and serving the lord.
Remember, "With God all things are possible" only believe. Love and Prayers

I just talked to Albert. The biopsy was benign. God Is Good!!! At this point, the Dr. thinks that the polyp that he removed at the same time he did the biopsy, was the main problem. It was between the vocal cords and was not allowing one of them to move. Albert sounds "MUCH" better already. The Dr. said that he just needs to take it easy and "Not Talk" a lot, "Which Ain't Easy For Albert", until it heals up. Albert said he just could not thank everyone enough for all of the support, phone calls, and "ESPECIALLY" the prayers. The benefit held for Albert last Sunday was a "GREAT SUCCESS", and he saw many friends and pickers he had not seen for a while.
Please continue to pray for Albert as he heals and regains his voice!
thanks to all of you,

How about an update on Albert? What were the results of his biopsy? Has he regained the use of his voice? How is Debbie doing?

This was the first benefit I've ever attended where the benefitee was not only in attendance, but played on stage almost the entire time, and other than his weak voice appeared to be in better shape than the rest of the musicians there.

Jim, It was reported to me that the biopsy was benign. Looks like ole Albert is gonna be fine. I don't think the reason for the vocal chord problem has been fully determined but they have ruled out the big "C". Great news!!!

Thank`s to every one who`s concerned about Albert. I played with him last night, his voice is still gone, the doctor`s have no answer, but at least there not talking cancer. His spirit`s are quite high, he`s so thankful for all help that has come in. They did a benefit last week in Ft. Worth and raised a much needed 5 grand to help with his bill`s and the Texas Steel Guitar Association under Wayne Smith gave a generous donation and some very good friend`s have handed him checks. Albert has spent many hour`s helping in benefit`s for other`s and God has seen it fit to return some of that love to him. OUR THANK`S TO THE LORD.

Thanks to all of you for your continued concern about Albert. I just talked to Debbie, Albert's wife, to see what I could learn about his condition.
Seems that his voice started to come back quite strong, shortly after the biopsy results came back, stating that the biopsy was benign.
It was thought that the removal of the polyp from "between" the vocal cords was the major reason for the loss of his voice. His voice was coming back "strong" for the first day or two, but at this time, he basically has no use of his voice.
The "UP" side of things, is that "ALL" the tests have turned out to show "NO CANCER"!! The "DOWN" side is that in Albert's line of business, he "NEEDS" to be able to talk. This is something that has become very fatiguing physically not to mention frustrating, to say the very least.
He does have some Doctor appointments within the next 10 days, to see if they can determine "Anything" that they think could help.
There is still the possibility that the problem may be something related to stress or maybe a nerve.
He want's to thank all of you for your support and "Especially" your prayers for him in the past and asks that everyone continue to keep him in your prayers, that he will regain the use of his voice.
I "TOO" want to thank all of you.....I consider all of you to be family, so please continue to remember our brother Albert and also his wife Debbie.
