I just talked to Joan,( Tue evening ) and she said that Hal came thru the surgery with flying colors. The surgery only took an hour & a half as opposed to the three hours that they originally thought that it would take. He is in intensive care but talking and joking. He is supposed to go to a regular room tomorrow. Joan said that he is supposed to go home in a couple of days; and get the stitches out in a couple of weeks. Then there will be 6 weeks of radiation. She didn't get to see the Dr because they thought the surgery was going to last 3 hrs so they went to eat. When they got back, the Dr had already been in and gone to do another surgery. So, she doesn't know how successful the surgery was. If they got all of it or part of it. As soon as she finds out she will let me know and I will forward the info on to everyone. Joan says that the Dallas show was the best thing that could have happened to Hal. He had such a good time seeing & being with his friends, and there were many. I will post updates as soon as I get them. Keep on praying because I know that our Most Gracious Heavenly Father is listening. John Hughey |
