To answer a number of recent calls and emails recently received about this: YES! The Forum Participants photo is planned again Here's the plan ... it's worked very well before (as Smiley knows : let's meet in the open, marble-floor lobby-area between the Carter booth and Scotty's registration tables. We can take photos then and put faces with names... Also, if you'd like to identify yourself as a Forum Participant on your nametag, we will have small bright-colored dots or stickers available at the Carter booth, starting on Thursday afternoon. Please feel free to come by to pick up your sticker and place it on your nametag ... by the way, to me "Forum Participants" includes those who post on the Forum and those who just read and never post here. Here's the 2000 ISGC Forum Participants Photo. Also, here's more info on the Convention: Dates: August 30 - Sept 2, 2001 Michael Scott asked me to post this announcement: More info on ISGC here and here Carter Booth Highlights: There are some very special treats planned (subject to change) for our booth this year, in addition to the players on the main stage . . . some of the treats will be Billy Phelps, sacred steeler Chuck Campbell, Dan Tyack, Al Brisco, and others . . . could be some very special jam sessions at the Carter booth this year. Canadian Late-Night FRIDAY: Also, we hear that Friday night late (Al Brisco or Bob Taillefer can fill us in on the starting time), there will be a jam session into the wee hours of the morning ... Al Brisco and Bob Taillefer and others will be jamming from what we have heard. We look forward to seeing everyone who can make it . . .
