Dear Bill, That is truly astonishing. I've been at it for about four years, and I would definitely have to see some tab to play what you were doing, man. I am very impressed, none of the usual beginner (and I include myself in the beginner group) problems, as others have noted. I noticed that you don't pick a pair or three notes and via bar movement and pedal/knee combinations, get the voice leading thing going on all that often, but don't get me wrong, your playing sounds really great. It is startling to think about what you'll sound like in a few years. Congratulations, your playing is a real achievement! Gerald |

Somebody send Bill some food and some no-doze. I'm sure that to play this well after only two years must have meant going without eating and/or sleeping. Sounds real fine!!! Hey folks, I've tried a second demo song! This comes two years after my first demo, so tell me what you think: http://www.rahul.net/thinker/audio/mp3/Shadow_of_Your_Smile.mp3 Here's my demo page with associated notes: ------------------ |

Bill, I downloaded and listened to "Shadow.." I have to say I really liked all the ghost notes... well, at least that's what I'm used to calling them on the six-string. That was incredibly pretty playing. I also listened to the 2001 soundclip, and I can hear the improvement from then. Your notes run a lot more smoothly into each other. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye out for more of your tunes! |
