Thank you again B0b

Me too b0b.

You're a great guy, and until I heard you were reading my posts, I was going to stop writing them.

I admire you for reading them.

I never do...

Seriously though this place has helped a lot of people. Probably more than you know.

It is not often that a single person can create something the very quickly becomes an invalueble resource for a whole community that traverses the "world entire".

Add a few friends and assistants and it takes flight and reaches 10's of thousands of people spread across scores of different countries.

And gains the respect of seasoned pros and rank beigners alike.
And actually gets them all in a dialog to advance something worthwhile.
No small thing.

Congratulations b0b, it is quite a feat.
Feat's don't fail you now!

b0b; I've spent more money on Steel Guitar stuff in the months since you admitted me to the forum than in the previous 35 years (except for the guitar & amp). You'll be happy to know your forum promotes economic growth, job creation, and good values.

Thanks for providing the opportunities for musical and personal advancement. Ain't a better bunch of people than here...

In my earliest days of using the internet - only about 7 years ago - I remember finding this obscure site where people were posting messages about steel guitar. "What is this?" Oh, so this is one of those internet bulletin boards I've heard about." Within a couple days, I was getting answers to questions I'd wondered about for years, getting email from Buddy Emmons, defending Bobbe Seymour, and learning not to criticize Jerry Byrd's grammar in the same post where I made spelling errors. How cool was this?

Well, here we are now, the internet is an essential part of my life and that little board has evolved into one of the most significant communication, educational, commerce, and social vehicles in the history of the instrument. Hats off to you, b0b, and to all the members who keep it so lively and a moment remembrance to those members who are no longer with us.

In this age of digital information, it would be wonderful if the forum could be archived after we're all gone so that future generations can understand this early internet culture and benefit from the wealth of history and information contained in all these bits & bytes.

Three chears for b0b!

The Forum has been invaluable for me in starting back playing Dobro and pedal steel after over 20 years. Learning about and buying instruments and equipment is so much easier now than before, and I lived in Nashville back then. In the past year I have bought through the Forum three pedal steels, all different brands, learned about impedance matchers for pot pedals and about the new active volume pedals, and bought an out-of-production Fender Vibrasonic amp head. I have learned about all the different tunings and copedents of the top pros and many others, and was persuaded to try C6, extended E9 and E9/B6 universal, which I have fallen in love with. I learned about players and recordings of classical music, jazz, and experimental music, as well as tons of new and old country, Western swing, and Hawaiian. Through the Forum I learned about all the steel shows around the country (I didn't even know such things existed), and went to one in my region that I would have never known about. Steelers are truly blessed with a better world because of b0b's Steel Guitar Forum. Thanks loads, b0b.
