Does anyone know who did the steel on this song by Alan Jackson? Great sounding steel!

Isn't that the tune that's new on the greatest hits set? If it is, then that's Lloyd Green's return to session recording you hear... and it's good news for everyone

It has been on the Forum a lot - Lloyd's ülaying on this song is so hauntingly beautiful! Also, Alan J. did a fantastic job writing and singing this song!

Hi Jerry,

You might want to get yourself a late Xmas present and buy Lloyd's latest CD. Think of it as 10 cuts of none stop solo work similar to Alan's turnaround.

The master of E9th has come back big time IMHO.

Mark T.

That's a Sho-Bud boys. Lloyd AND Dan Dugmore are playing 'em... as they have for years. I gotta admit, I love that sound.

Everything old is new again!

Lloyd shared with me that he personally felt that the tone achieved on "Remember When" was, in his opinion, the best possible for steel guitar. NO ARGUEMENT FROM ME!!

Terry Wood...email me, please!

Another sweet steel solo by the great LLoyd Green and his old Fender with cable activated changers.

Reggie

Can you ask Lloyd what his equipment set up was, including effects, etc? That's tone to-die-for

Hi Bob, Lloyd used an old Fender twin head and a custom Marrs open-back cabinet I made equipt with an old D-130 JBL. The LDG had our replacement fingers I installed while he was working on his new album. The pick-up is a Lawerence 710. We have experimented with others and the 710 seems to be an awesome match for a large body Sho-Bud. Before returning to recording Lloyd devoted countless hours preparing for the best possible tone. It is so wonderful to hear him on records again. It was his playing that just did it for me growing up learning to play. I'm so honored he and Dot are my friends. Jeff Surratt
